Beloved Family

When King Solomon wrote these words almost 3,000 years ago, he recognized God’s sovereignty over all the seasons of our lives. Throughout the years, our family has journeyed through seasons filled with joy, sorrow, prosperity, adversity, and more. Yet, we are still here by the grace of the Almighty God. More than a century after B.J. Kearse and Meta Bell Breland were joined in holy matrimony in Bamberg County, South Carolina, their legacy lives on in more than 300 descendants living throughout this nation and abroad. What a testament to our resilience as a family! No matter the season, we must continue to embrace that legacy and strengthen family bonds.
The theme for the 2024 family reunion is "Building Bridges." When the 2022 reunion committee chose this theme and the corresponding logo (developed by a family member), it was with the deliberate purpose of conveying a commitment to fostering bonds that could change family dynamics throughout the generations. The 2024 family reunion committee maintains that same commitment.
We invite all descendants of B.J. and Meta Bell, as well as other Kearse relatives, to join us in making that commitment a reality. Family reunions provide opportunities to discover and strengthen family connections. Please take time today and make plans to attend the 2024 reunion. Submit your reunion fees and book hotel accommodations as soon as possible so we can plan appropriately.
